Why Nirvana Bliss Is a Go-To for Natural Stone
Some tile brands do a little of everything. Nirvana Bliss focuses on one thing and does it well: natural stone mosaics. Pebbles, marble rounds, hexagons and stone blended with glass make up the heart of the line.
That focus shows in the details. Stones are sorted by color so each sheet has a balanced mix, sheets are designed to fit together without obvious seams, and many designs come in both polished and honed finishes. The result is a mosaic that looks natural and organic, the way a riverbed or a beach does, rather than manufactured.
If you’re planning a spa bathroom, a coastal shower or a backsplash with real texture, Nirvana Bliss is one of the first brands to look at.
Types of Nirvana Bliss Tile
Sliced Pebble
Sliced pebble tile is made by cutting natural stones flat, so you get the organic shapes of real pebbles with a smooth, even surface. It’s more comfortable underfoot than rounded pebbles, easier to clean, and creates a calm, modern look on floors, shower floors and walls.
Natural and Broken Pebble
Natural pebble keeps the rounded top of each stone, giving you more texture and a more rustic, beach-like feel. Broken pebble uses irregular stone pieces for an even more organic look. These styles add grip underfoot and are especially popular on shower floors.
Glass and Stone Pebble Blends
Some Nirvana Bliss mosaics mix marble pebbles with striated or colored glass. The glass catches the light while the stone keeps the look grounded, which is a beautiful combination for backsplashes, shower walls and accent walls. Shop glass and stone blends
Porcelain Pebble
Porcelain pebble tile gives you the look of natural stone without the sealing. It’s a smart choice for busy family bathrooms and anyone who wants pebble style with less upkeep. Shop porcelain mosaics
Marble Penny Rounds and Hexagons
Nirvana Bliss also makes classic marble shapes, including penny rounds and small hexagons, in white, gray, green and other natural marble colors. They’re timeless on bathroom floors, shower floors and backsplashes. Shop hexagon tile
Fish Scale and Waterjet Designs
For something more decorative, look for fish scale mosaics in marble or glass and waterjet-cut floral patterns. They work beautifully as a backsplash or an accent wall. Shop fish scale tile or shop waterjet mosaics
Sliced Pebble or Natural Pebble for a Shower Floor?
This is one of the most common questions we get about pebble tile, and both are good choices.
Sliced pebble is flatter and smoother, so it’s more comfortable to stand on and easier to keep clean. It has fewer high spots and fewer deep grout valleys where soap can collect.
Natural, rounded pebble has more texture and more grip, and some people love the gentle massage-like feel underfoot. It uses more grout and takes a little more scrubbing.
If comfort and easy cleaning are your priorities, choose sliced. If you want maximum texture and an authentic riverbed look, choose natural. Either way, make sure the specific mosaic is rated for shower floors.
Polished or Honed Marble?
Many Nirvana Bliss marble mosaics come in both finishes, and the choice matters.
Polished marble has a glossy shine that makes the colors look rich and deep. It’s beautiful on walls, backsplashes and fireplaces.
Honed marble has a soft, matte surface. It has more grip when wet and hides scratches and etching better, which makes it the better choice for floors and shower floors.
Where to Use Nirvana Bliss Tile
Shower floors: Pebble and small marble mosaics follow the slope to the drain and add grip. This is where Nirvana Bliss really shines.
Bathroom floors: Sliced pebble, marble hexagons and penny rounds make beautiful, natural-looking floors. Shop floor tile
Kitchen backsplashes: Glass-and-stone blends and polished marble bring texture and light to the wall behind the range.
Shower walls and accent walls: A full pebble wall or a pebble niche adds organic texture to a bathroom.
Fireplace surrounds: Natural stone mosaics feel warm and earthy around a fireplace.
Always check the approved applications for the specific product you choose. Some Nirvana Bliss mosaics are also rated for pool use.
Installation Tips for Pebble Tile
Pebble mosaics come on interlocking sheets, so the edges are shaped to fit together without a straight seam. To keep the floor looking natural:
Dry-lay several sheets first and check how they connect. Rotate or shift sheets so you don’t see a repeating pattern or a line where two sheets meet.
Fill any gaps with loose pebbles from extra sheets. That’s another reason to order a little extra.
Seal natural stone before grouting. A pre-seal makes grout cleanup much easier and helps prevent grout haze on the stone.
Pebble tile uses more grout than most tile, because of the spaces between stones. Most pebble installations call for sanded grout, so follow the manufacturer’s recommendation and plan your grout quantity accordingly. Shop grout
As with any natural stone, blend pieces from several boxes so the color is spread evenly. It’s one of Mike Belk’s go-to tips.
Caring for Natural Stone Mosaics
Natural stone needs a little more care than porcelain or glass, but it’s simple once you have a routine.
Seal it after installation and reseal it as recommended, usually once a year in showers.
Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner made for natural stone. Avoid vinegar, lemon, bleach and other acidic or harsh cleaners, which can etch or dull marble.
In the shower, a quick rinse and squeegee after use keeps soap from building up in the grout. If you’d rather skip sealing altogether, porcelain pebble gives you the look with less maintenance.
Styling Nirvana Bliss Tile
Spa: White or soft gray pebble on the shower floor, with large, simple porcelain on the walls and a wood vanity.
Coastal: Blue, sea-glass and sand-colored pebble and glass blends that feel like the beach. Shop coastal-style tile
Rustic: Natural, rounded pebble in earthy browns and greens with wood and stone. Shop rustic-style tile
Classic: Polished or honed marble penny rounds and hexagons in white and gray.
Pair a textured Nirvana Bliss mosaic with simpler surrounding tile, so the stone can be the star.
